What I Did [Today] in Comp Sci

This article’s objective is to compile and document everything I have learned in the fields of computer science, web development, and mobile development. It serves a few purposes: (1) I can keep track of what I learned and resourced used, (2) employers will have insight into the materials I’m investigating, and (3) simply because it’s critical to create content in today’s digital age.

This is an evolving blog. Instead of creating a blog post for every day (that would be so many blogs), I’m going to keep everything in here. Eventually, I hope to have a page on my website that will keep track of what I learn and what I find fascinating. That page could be sorted by keywords, dates, and give insight into my learning over time through graphs. This is a great idea. Educators could use a software tool like this and students could write (or create) content that the educator could view. Just food for thought :)

Real briefly, the way this blog will work is the newest entries will be closest to the top of the page and the further down you go, the older the entries get. The newest entry will be the first entry underneath the photo in this article. I hope you enjoy it. Visit my website at www.chandlerg.com. Let’s get cooking.

OCTOBER 7th, 2020 — [Wednesday]

[9:17 PM] ~ Hello! I’m Chandler G. Today is my first day documenting what I learned/did today and I’m super excited to begin. As I’m applying to web developer jobs and awaiting interview responses, I’m DoorDashing in the meantime. What’s cool is that I pay for YouTube premium because I can then listen to videos with my phone screen turned off. So before embarking on the delivery journey, I spend a few minutes picking videos I want to listen to. The video I got the most value from today is Airbnb founder Brian Chesky speaking about his experience synthesizing Airbnb from the very start to full-blown company. It’s one of the greatest videos containing insights into starting a revolutionary, scaled tech company.
